procurator Fiscal Exonerates Northern Constabulary
(July 24, 2008)Area Procurator Fiscal Andrew Laing has today exonerated Officers of The Northern Constabulary for lying,witholding evidence ,and failing to have evidence forensically examined in an investigation into blackmail.
In his letter dated 22July to the victim he states that he "does not consider any criminal proceedings ought to be taken against these officers."Mr Laing has previously stated that the "wider public interest"is also a consideration when bringing any prosecution against the Police.
The web-site will publish the complaints and names of officers involved later in order that unsuspecting members of the public can avoid these officers and their antics.
